Getting a new car that you are very proud of is a highly exhilarating and liberating experience and one that can be a great status symbol as well as something we will be getting to use on a daily basis. When you think about it, you spend a huge amount of time in your car – whether taking children to school, going to work or education yourself, or commuting to see friends etc. Lots of people will see you in your car, and the way it feels behind the wheel and the way it keeps you nice and cool will effect your happiness on a daily basis. Being stuck in a jam is annoying enough, but when you're in a jam in a nicely cooled car with good stereo music and people turning their heads as you pass them it seems somehow not so bad...

When you get a really nice looking car then this can be like a child and for many people it is their pride and joy. A pristine monument to their success and something that they can enjoy polishing and washing regularly. And they aren't cheap either...

This is why it can be such a blow to someone when they get a dent or a bump and that's why collision repair and dent repair is so important. Chances are that it isn't covered on your insurance which is partly why it's so frustrating, but to drive around with your car door slightly concave, or the paint scratched down one side is really not the same experience. The fact that the rest of your car is so perfect and polished is what will make these slight imperfections so irritating (you'll find the first is always the worst) so dent removal is a great way to get that feeling of a new car (whether or not it's first hand) back.

Part of the reason that collision repair and dent removal is so useful is that tiny dents and bumps are far too easy to come across. If you are driving a car you can easily reverse into a small wall below your eye-line, or scrape across a low wall going around a corner. Sometimes you need dent removal when it wasn't even your fault and you weren't actually driving the car. For instance you can find that you just leave your car parked only to return and find that someone else has accidentally scraped it with their car, reversed into it, or even purposefully vandalised it. In many cases dent removal simply means buffing out the indent to make it return to its original shape and this is cheap and easy to do, and there's no reason not to get it done. Sometimes it might also mean replacing the paint and it's important to get this done by a professional service.

In other scenarios of course you need full collision repair, and this can occur after having a crash that damages the car. In this case you might be able to get the collision repair paid for by your insurance, and this way you can get your car back to looking as good as new without the need to feel the sting.
